Determine if your diamond is synthetic or real in 1.5 seconds

Determine if your diamond is synthetic or real in 1.5 seconds

With diamonds, you want to know that you're getting what you paid for. You can do that by trusting a jeweler, or you can get a fancy gadget designed to analyze diamonds. And if you're like me, you trust gadgets much more than you trust people.

The DiamondNite Diamond Moissanite Tester let you know if your precious gem is a synthetic diamond or real diamond within just 1.5 seconds. Unless it's a synthetic diamond that's chemically identical to carbon diamonds, in which case there's no real way to tell them apart. Which makes them the same, so you shouldn't really sweat that, right? I'm no jewelery expert.

Frucc, you don't have to be a jewelry expert. Even with the same chemical makeup, synthetic diamonds are a bit cheaper.

If you really want the skinny on synthetic diamonds vs, real vs CZ's vs other imitations, ask me @ http://twitter.com/freshmans1895

First thing the author of this post should do is learn the difference between "synthetic" and "simulated". Not the same.

Synthetic diamond = lab grown diamond
Simulated diamond = imitation (fake)

Stan is right- this blogger doesn't know the difference between "synthetic" and "simulant" but this mistake is quite common which is why the powers that be (ie: think DeBeers) in Europe and the US have been trying hard, under the radar, to make the diamond growing companies have to use the word "synthetic" thus cheapening what is a fantastic new product that is just coming into the marketplace. This is why the diamond growers have chosen the word "cultured diamond" to lessen the confusion. This tester will tell you if the stone you have is a cubic, moissanite or a diamond- both mined and lab created will test equally as diamond because they both are exactly that.
