I always wanted one of those gigantic trampolines when I was a kid, but my parents refused to buy me one because they were both expensive and supremely dangerous. Well, they haven't gotten much cheaper as I've gotten older, but this crazy Springfree Trampoline at least makes it seem a lot safer.
That's because it's surrounded by 6-foot-high netting supported by flexible fiberglass rods. Launch yourself off to the side by accident? Rather than landing on a picnic table, you'll just be bounced back onto the trampoline. Awesome! I don't think I'm too old for this, am I? But $1,495 is still too expensive. Damn.

Almost all trampolines either come with something like this or sell it as an add on. Several States/Cities/Municipalities have required these on trampolines for years now.

The fun thing about trampolines is that you felt free and unobstructed this particular item seem more like an spectacle arena (sans Tina Turner from Thunderdome), are relatives encouraged to toss money at you while jumping, wait this isn't so bad after all. FTW!

The Springfree Trampoline was designed to remove the areas identified to generate impact hazard to the jumper. Its key innovation is the removal of steel frame and springs at the jumping surface. "Safety Pads" always wear out or get moved, so "designing out" the hazard is the only way to improve safety

I thought the point of these things were to stage elaborate stunts jumping off them? IMO Breaking bones is part of growing up as a kid, I know tons of people (Myself included) That broke their bones all the time. And it was fun.
