

There's not much info on just how he performed this feat of magic or what materials he used, but the results speak for themselves. Sure, nobody needs to have their iTunes visualizations running on a tiny screen on their laptop lid, but that doesn't mean we don't want it.

Probably wasn't too hard. Probably just back laid a smaller square LCD inside the lid casing.

Probably not an extra screen device, just wired a portion of the main screen to a cannibalized ipod LCD or something. i.e. bottom-left 200x200 of main screen also appears on apple logo.
