Insane conceptual headphones might get you some weird looks
Nokia recently held a design competition for headphones, encouraging designers to base their imaginings on their favorite music. What resulted were some truly insane designs. The one above, for example, is called "I'm Flying" and is based on I Believe I Can Fly by R. Kelly.
Practical? Not in the slightest. Awesome? Very much so. And the headphones after the jump are just as awesome. Inspired by Michael Jackson's Thriller, it's basically like wearing a crazy diorama on your head. Obviously, none of these will be for sale at Best Buy anytime soon, but they sure are cool to look at.

the top one reminds me of RO, and Washout that's not true, in certain places of the world you would be the next popstar.
But in America, the bottom one might be a better choice. You'll still get looks but at least you know their jealous... haha

The wing ones look like something out of Angelic Layer.
I do have a sinking suspicion that if best buy did start selling these SOMEONE would buy them though.

I'd wear those winged headphones. Gladly. With joy. It would be a nice addition to the jester hats and horned hats I currently wear while walking down the street. Wish they would make 'em available for purchase.

I'd go for the wing ones if they wer eblack and did'nt have the trumpets and maybe wrapped around the ear ending in earbuds.

Man, these are just so different, I have to get em! Wonder if they will come out and how much they'll go for.. Even if you don't wear them it would look funny on display. I personally would wear them in public to embarass my mother...

wow god some of u care 2 much about what people Think! i'd wear the wing ones 24/7 and everyone of my friends would wish they had a pair...maybe its an English thing! but luuush, and i agree black would also look awsome :)
