Aquapeutics shower is just a little bit over the top

aquapeutics_main_nerOn_12.jpgWhen I take a shower, I don't just want water pouring down on me. I want to be buffed, polished and cleaned like I'm at a car wash for Ferraris. And that's just what this Aquapeutics luxury steam shower provides: the most over-the-top way of getting clean around.

This spaceship-worthy shower is loaded up with two handheld showers, a waterproof LCD TV, a radio, massage jets, a steam box, overhead lights, an alarm, and other crazy crap. The whirlpool and steamshower are computerized, letting you set your program to run when you get in, and it's all very fancy. Of course, for $4,300 I would hope it would be fancy.

Wow very cool. If I won the lottery today I would so buy one of these!

An alarm? Come on, it's too big to steal, there are no wheels on it, why would you need an alarm? Most of the rest makes sense - I built a lot of that into the custom shower I put in my master bath - but an alarm?

@ OLD MAN DOTES

They probably meant a clock alarm--you could set it to go off at a specific time or after a specific amount of time passed.

Does it recycle water? I'd love one but being in So. Cal. I'd probably be ticketed for wasting water after my first shower. Now if it recycled water ...

By The Chic Ecologist at 6:39 PM ON 03/03/09

Yeah, if it had a water recycling system that collected, filtered and re used the water, THAT would be something. I don't see how you could own something like this and not take a 45min long shower.

@ OLD MAN DOTES

I've seen the furnace get stolen from my neighbors house. I think stealing a shower might be doable :)

$4300 is not bad considering I looked at a standard walk in tub for my grandparents and one company quoted $19k installed and that was just a tub with a door and a handheld shower nozzle. As far as theft goes try working for the National Park Service people break toilet paper holders to take the crappy single ply our custodians buy, If theres a way someone will try to take anything

I just bought this thing, and I'm waiting for it to show up. I'll let yall know how it is after I get it.

By AQUAPEUTICS at 7:22 PM ON 03/05/09

Brizzle, I hope you bought one directly from us as there are knockoffs out there of lesser quality. If you did I guarantee you will be happy. Email me with your name so I can identify you as one of our customers. Thanks Doug@aquapeutics.com

brizzle, I'm looking at another version of this for my vacation home in VT. How did you find the quality of the unit? Are you still satisfied with it?

By Brizzle at 9:44 PM ON 02/02/10

Brizzle, Is your aquapeutics spa reliable, is it durable. would it fit a 5'11" person. does it use a lot of energy, do you still like it.
