Toilet seat that automatically lowers the seat is here to save your relationship

selfclosingtoiletseat.jpgHere's an invention that could put an end to an age old squabble between men and women: the toilet that automatically lowers the seat. Finally!

Some students from the Skjern Technical College in Denmark have created a toilet that lowers the seat after its flushed without using any additional energy sources. It's not clear exactly how it does this, but you've got to assume it uses some form of magic. In any case, let's get this put in all toilets going forward so we can start saving marriages worldwide.

Saw that on "Home Improvement" back in the 90s. Surprising no one tried to turn it into reality until now.

I'm pretty sure they have self-lowering lids already. I think the point is NO ADDITIONAL ENERGY SOURCES. So... Maybe using the power from the flush to drop the lid? Or maybe it winds a spring when you lift the lid that doesn't release until the flush lever is pressed?
