Director Michael Bay is putting the finishing touches on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, on track for its Summer, 2009 debut. A newcomer to the Transformers franchise will be this Corvette Stingray concept vehicle, playing the part of transforming vehicle "Sideswipe." We doubt GM will ever build an exotic Corvette exactly like this, but at least the company could consider installing that wrap-around windshield on some of its upcoming cars.
You'd never know GM was in deep trouble by watching this summer's Transformers, which will also feature a return of the Camaro, reprising its role as Bumblebee from the first Transformers movie, a couple of cars patterned after the upcoming Chevy Spark playing Skids and Mudflap, and a Chevy Volt in its debut role as Jolt. Now if GM can just survive until summer, the movie won't seem like an car-filled graveyard of unrealized dreams.

Thank you for your opinion fredytap, worthless though it was. And fred, in case you wanted to know, I do like two door cars. And this one is beautiful.

Good try I guess, but it doesn't work for me. Too angular - too much like the new cadillac sporty cars. They look like something designed by Sears or SharperImage.

Finally something reminiscent of the Stingray...

wow...pretty wicked looking. great for a movie car.
the new vette wont be this extreme. But I would be surprised that it will be a little retro with a throwback to the C2 and C3.

Doesn't this car look kindof like the Batmobile...lol if it were painted black you'd see it. LOL...priceless!

I own a split window and to see this car in person it took breath away. To come back to the split window is great and to see that new stingray badge was awesome. Now please don't make the same mistake you made with the 50th anniversary and paint it purple! Please, please put this exact car as is into production. You will not be able to keep them in the show rooms

That is a great car I own 3 vettes and would gladly drive concept car anywhere.

See, what Chevy needs to compete (as in have the realistic potential to take away buyers) with the big boy exotics is a body and interior to meet up to the image that these buyers require.
If the new Corvette stands out and has a REAL interior (Porsche's of late are just plain beautiful and yet still manage to be completely purposeful) it has the potential to succeed in stealing away buyers. Before you say that standing out attracts cops, you must realize that a Corvette, as it is, already stands out enough as a sports car to accomplish this task, so the designers might as well go all the way. :)

With all the negative feedback after putting the '63 in production, I am so amazed they would even think twice about doing it all again. It would be a huge mistake to put this into production.

The only thing wrong with this car.... I don't own the keys!

THIS NEW CONCEPT IS GOOD TO GO, PUT A A.P.H.J SYSTEM ON THIS ONE IT BE JUST WHAT A DRIVER NEED. WHEN BALLING OUT.

I love this car. As I watched the movie I thought..."wow that looks like a Vette..a stingy ray even" It will be a crime if this doesn't go into production.
