These Revio programmable light switches by FirstHand Design go beyond high tech. There's a simple rubberized knob up front to turn on and dim the lights, but there's a lot more tech underneath. The capacitive touch panel controls four zones with four scenes each, with each fixture or device connected via the Cooper Controls iLumin system that lets you control lights, curtains and anything else you hook up to it.
Those backlit switches are customizable, too, letting you insert whatever background you wish for the switch panel — including photos, different typefaces, and your own labels for each lighting scene. There's also an infrared remote that lets you control all four scenes from afar. It's an elegant blend of easy-to-use high-touch controls with high-tech power underneath.

Why would they make such an ugly remote for such a pretty light switch?

@trainwrekk: Fo serious!
What would make this this ridonkulously cool is if that cover were not just a piece of static paper, but an AMOLED display, connected to the home network. Hello, Jarvis!

@Pointing...
The point of this is to be better than a regular light switch, aesthetically and functionally. If you don't understand it then it's not for you.
