Reaction bookshelf is straight out of 2001: A Space Odyssey

reaction_shelf.jpgThe reaction bookcase by Olivier Peyricot looks like something you'd find in the Arthur C. Clarke 2001 catalog. The circular design is pretty brilliant, letting you read comfortably while surrounded by books, although the $3,000 cost might not leave you with much left for reading material.

The shelf/lounger is 6 feet in diameter, providing decent room for sitting and storage. Very tall readers, however, might seek something more customized to their size.
