Portable door alarm keeps you from getting robbed

0wedge.jpgIf you're traveling a lot and worried about someone breaking into your hotel room while you're sleeping, this little portable anti-burglary device could give you the peace of mind you're looking for. Essentially, it's a little wedge that sits under the door. If someone tries to open the door, it'll hit the wedge and an alarm will go off.

Sure, you'd then be awoken and have to deal with your intruder face to face, but it's better then the alternative of waking up in a bathtub full of ice with one of your kidneys missing. Think about it.

Seriously??? Not even remotely a new product. These things have been around for at least a decade.... and they didn't sell well then (Had 'em when I used to work at the 'Shack')

Anova is correct in that these types of alarms have been around a long time. However, the industry (affordable security gadgets) has its peaks and valleys. Around a decade ago, many places stopped carrying these products due to slow sales. In the last few years, sales have picked up ten-fold and these products are becoming very popular again. Increased technology has made them more affordable and available, and they are great products for so many people.
