Neo Gramaphone: One modern record player, hold the records

neo_gramaphone_main.jpgNo, it isn't some XXL origami project — the Neo Gramaphone (sic) is a modern take on the classic phonograph. Discarding wood and brass for simple lines and "high-quality materials" (plastic, probably), the minimalist design looks more like a plant than a playback device.

Where do the records go? Nowhere. The Neo Gramaphone is made to stream music from any Bluetooth device. All the playback controls appear on a surface screen on when touched, then go away when it's time to sit back and listen. There are actually multiple speakers built into the enclosure, with the horn functioning as a port for the subwoofer.

Made by Kinkyform design, the New Gramaphone is a sweet design idea that we wouldn't mind seeing in Muji stores someday. Needs an iPod dock, though.
