Electric Man and USB Man power you up without costing an arm and a leg

15625890_00_b.pngIf you're fond of the plug-separating PowerSquid power strip, or its pricier big brother, PowerSquid Calamari, you'll really like these anthropomorphic alternatives from Urban Outfitters. Electric Man separates the sockets for easy plug-in of even the bulkiest wall wart, and does it with whimsical style.

Besides its clean, manly design, the best aspect of this plug extender is its price — at $14.99 (it was $26 before), you could buy four of these for the price of one $60 PowerSquid Calamari surge protector (but the PowerSquid is only $5 more).

If you like Electric Man, you might also consider his brother, the $19.99 USB Man, offering four appendages for your favorite gadgets. Plug us into one of each.

I do like the USB man because I have many USB devices that I use a USB hub for but it doesn't always let me use more than 1 usb device which defeats the whole purpose lol. I would be happy to buy this little man. The electric man would be awesome for those bulky plugs that you just cannot use in a power strip because you can only use 1 on the very end.

Both cool ideas. I didn't know they existed, now I do, thanks Dvice.

Cool idea but does the "head" house a retractable cord or is it just wasted space just to make it a head? If it's not a retractable cord, they really missed the mark on that one...

No, I went to the website that sells them and it isn't retractable. That is a good point though. It would be a lot easier to store it in my laptop case when traveling if I didn't have to wind up the cord cause it takes up more room.
