WowWee Spyball probably won't be in the next Bond flick

wowwee_spyball_main.jpg

This sort-of-spherical object is WowWee's Spyball, a tiny roving camera that can capture video or still pics of whatever's in front of it. It sends footage back to you via Wi-Fi, and you can control it over an Internet connection from pretty much anywhere. Even if you don't have Internet access, you can still unleash Spyball via an ad-hoc Wi-Fi connection.

Essentially a mini version of WowWee's Rovio, the Spyball should please kids wanting to spy on their pets or siblings, though anyone looking to do some serious spying should look elsewhere. It won't be on sale till late 2009 anyway, but when it arrives, the round little guy will go for about $170.

The specs and form make it seem more of a "toy" than an actual "spy" device, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be fun for some to roll around the house. I just don't think that you're going to be doing any covert work with it.
