Street-legal open-wheeled limousine aims for 300mph
You thought Obama's new Cadillac presidential limo/tank was outrageous? This crazy open-wheel Formula 1-style vehicle carries six white-knuckled passengers to their destinations, pronto. Its designer-builder Michael Pettipas hopes it'll zip along at an astonishing 300mph.
It had to happen. If Hummer limousines are okay, why not an open-wheeled race car? And believe it or not, this odd-looking road rocket is street legal. We can't wait to put on our helmets and go for a ride, hoping for a sunny day — because those raindrops must inflict a fierce sting at 300mph.

No thanks. I'll walk. Going that fast is kinda goofy. At best, it could be the next big thrill park ride, but they'd need 20+ miles of track with a 60 degree bank on the whole thing to stay on it!

Dvice strikes again. This story needs some serious facts, like how many Mr. Fusions run this thing. 300 MPH is not even remotely possible, 200 mph is really pushing it. Case in point, Bugatti Veyron, 1000 HP, 10 radiators and costs over 1 million - tops speed 258mph. Hmm, add a few passangers and the math goes south fast. Street legal aside, I say hoon in up, this will not hit 300 MPH at Boneville, Nuremburg or anywhere else. Sorry, Fail.
