Can a UFO-shaped MP3 player be stylish? mobiBlu thinks so

mobiblu_saucer_main.jpgWhat's surprising about the mobiBlu UFO portable music player isn't its flying-saucer shape — it's that mobiBlu is still making portable music players. Previous products from the creatively capitalized manufacturer have boasted some impressive specs, but the UFO (Model A10) is all about design: Its saucer shape and curved edges will have you waiting for Gort to walk out when you put it down. A pretty tiny Gort, though, as the player is just 3.5 inches in diameter.

Available in gloss black or red, the UFO comes in 2, 4, and 8GB capacities and will play the usual file-format suspects of MP3, WMA, ASF and OGG. Battery life is rated as 15 hours, which is pretty pathetic, considering, but at least it has a speaker (which reduces playback time to 5 hours, natch). Cool as it looks, the UFO probably will be hard to find in the U.S. when it comes out. No information on when that might be or pricing yet.
