Kodak camera offers two shutter releases, one for horizontal, one for vertical

kodak top zoom out.jpg
When you turn a D-SLR or ultra zoom camera to take a vertical shot, the shutter release is often in an awkward position. Kodak's Z980 ultra zoom camera, due in April for $399.99, has two shutter release - the regular one on the top and, after you flip a toggle on the control panel, a second one on the right hand grip is activated.

To make holding the camera easier for vertical picture taking, you can screw a grip onto the bottom over the battery/SD card slot door.

Other than this clever second shutter addition, the 12 MP Z980 has a 24x optical zoom with a 26mm-to-624mm F5 lens with mechanical image stabilization to keep shots even at the far end of the zoom steady and blur-free. It also shoots 720p 30 fps H.264 video, is equipped with a hot shoe and runs on 4 AAs.
