Look at what happens when ace photographer David Bergman stiches together 220 images, taken with the help of a Gigapan robotic camera mount. It's a 1,474-megapixel shot of the presidential inauguration, and if you're willing to wait a few minutes for the image to download, you can use the online viewer to zoom in on everything and everybody.
See if you can spot former President Carter, or see what brand of camera crane was used, or notice how one of the TV cameramen also set up a small tripod with his own point-and-shoot camera, or catch Yo Yo Ma snapping a picture with his iPhone.
Besides being a toy, this huge image will be of interest to historians centuries from now. Who knows which future celeb might be spotted? An ominous past example of a similar concept: John Wilkes Booth appearing in a photo of Abraham Lincoln's second inaugural.

Cool. That should kill some time.
My favorite find so far is Newt. He isn't even looking at the stage.

What is Bush holding? It looks like he is having trouble figuring it out.

Anyone notice that Hilary is looking at something in Bill's hands.
Also, top tier thate is a body with no head and behind that a head with no body. Must be a part of the piece together process

That is an amazing compilation. I think they should use this technology to make a virtual tour website of tourist spots around the world. If it hasn't already been done.

The sound guy that has 4 arms is kinda funny, looks like Goro from Mortal Kombat. He's in the sound tent.

Great! So now the 15,000 paid ticket holders who were locked out can see what they missed.
Was this picture part of the 170 million spent on the inaguration, or was it complimentary?
