This new concept city — to be called Gwanggyo, about 20 miles south of Seoul, South Korea — will feature slender, tapered buildings containing housing, offices, and retail space for its 77,000 potential residents.
It looks a little sci-fi, but the design is intended to mimic the lakes and hills around it. Every structure in the proposed 6.5 million square feet of space will be terraced with plantations, watered by a floor-to-floor circulation system. The end result is a vertical park that reduces energy and water usage.
The taller towers will also feature empty spaces like atriums, lobbies and plazas to provide natural light and ventilation. Don't pack just yet — this is still on paper — but it's one of several green concept communities on drawing boards right now.

It makes me want to go over there dressed up like Mario.

Looks incredibly high maintenance and impractical to me. Would need an army of cheap gardeners to keep all that greenery in check so it wouldn't start to take over.
