Casio's cameras with high-speed digital technology have added a fun new twist: digital image compositing, or Dynamic Photo function. The process takes a moving image, cut it out of the background image, and then paste it onto another still image. Shoot your moving image, then a still of the background, and the software does the rest.
Demonstrated at the Casio press conference, they showed off the image over a birthday card. Then a Christmas card. Then a wedding card. And so on and so on. Composite a video of your kid over a drawing he made. Cuteness. According to Casio, this will create a new photographic culture. Or perhaps, just a fun tool.
