The Eee PC Keyboard is, from what we can tell, just a concept that the company was or is throwing around. It's billed as a full computer inside a keyboard, and even has a 5-inch touchscreen off to the side so you can see what you're doing — as uncomfortable as that would be. Still, even if you did hook it up to a dedicated display, that's still a pretty impressive form factor.
So what do you think? What are you looking for in a Netbook? Typically, as we saw in the company's breakthrough offering with the Eee PC, Netbooks are cheap and functional machines that compliment your computer at home, offering access to the Internet and whatever media you want with you on the go (pictures, music and the like). This Asus Eee PC Keyboard may be a little too unwieldy to fulfill that roll.

Why not put the screen in the middle and split the keyboard like some of those ergo keyboards do?

if asus market and spec this type of one piece system right, (ie game spec) this could be the amiga 500/1200 for this age. imagine if intel made a quad core atom for this baby and if it had a gp-gpu and blu-ray it would make it bulkier but you no you would whant one..

a tiny little projector mounted under it in the middle would be sweet.

A computer within a full sized keyboard? A C64?

If it was touch screen it could give you custom
controls for ever program .

What I want to see is kinda like what Muss said. Actually, it's exactly what Muss said. Damn, LSD is one hell of a drug (Lol Family Guy...) Yeah but a touch screen would be great one the side... but I say.. Leave the monitor separate... Just give me the friggin' Touch screen!

Make the keyboard a little bit smaller, add a speaker and a mic. Oh no that's a mobile phone.

OK, try again put the screen above the keyboard (Cuz it's in a pretty stupid place at eht moment) and perhaps let it fold down on top of the keyboard to make it easier to carry. Oh bugger that's a laptop.

That would make a lot a of sense - presumable this is designed to be used on your lap in the lounge, so it would be much easier if you could keep your hands central or one over each leg.
I have often thought how nice it would be if regular keyboards put the numeric keypad on one side and the cursor keys on the other. It would make lap usage much more comfortable.
