LiveDream, the tiny stage with micro musical instruments, lets you play God

segaliveband.jpg

Look at these itty bitty musical instruments on their tiny stage. SEGA's LiveDream Band Stage adds each instrument's sound as you place it on the minuscule stage, a musical equivalent to Matchbox cars. Choose a rock or jazz band, and this $307 toy will suddenly make you feel like a gigantic spectator to a band of musical instruments without any musicians anywhere in sight. It's a bit like Rock Band, but instead of pretending to be a musician, you find yourself playing God, adding and taking away instruments from the musical mix at your whim. Weird.

$307 for a miniature concert set that sounds like a Casio toy keyboard from the 80's??? Or it's for the ability to mute/unmute one of the 4 tracks??? Hey guys, if you want my humble ADVICE, you need to do better to play along with ENGADGET and GIZMODO.
