Floating dog collar will keep your pooch afloat in a flood

floatapet.jpgGot a dog that can't swim but live in an area prone to flooding? That's a pretty lousy combo for your dog, don't you think. That's why the Float-a-Pet system was developed. It lets your pooch roam free with no fear of drowning.

That's because the collar inflates to form a protective life preserver around your dog's neck with the on-board humidity sensor touches water. It also has solar-powered LEDs that will help Fido see and be seen if he needs help. Alternately, you could teach your dog to swim. I mean, what kind of dog doesn't know how to swim, anyways?

I disagree. It would be extremely useful in the event a dog falls off a boat or was caught in a flood and was no where near land. It would be useful for older dogs who would suffer from exhaustion more quickly if stranded and can't paddle as long as younger dogs.

wow- so now instead of just drowning, the dog can just be hung by the neck in the water. FAIL. that's like having a fire extinguisher that releases anthrax.

Do they make them for horses, why are they just for dogs?

Any dog that can't swim deserves to die.

ESPECIALLY Chihuahuas. Whoever decided to breed 'em from whatever genetic abomination sure had a dose of hatred for mankind. Useless!
