For no real reason, a Nintendo 64 crammed into a Wii
Now here's a modification that doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Someone went and crammed a Nintendo 64 into their Wii. I don't get this for a couple of reasons. For one, you can download most of the good N64 games to the Wii via the Virtual Console. And there's no way he was able to do this while leaving the guts of the Wii inside, making this basically just a white N64.
Here's a tip, Wii owners: just use the Virtual Console. You don't need to keep those cartridges around, and you'll be able to play games from basically every Nintendo system from one box. What this mod does is decrease the functionality of the original, which I don't think should be the point of any good mod.

The components for N64 are too balky you would have to cut off too much of the boards and circuitry for it to work properly in the Wii. Considering that the Wii is much smaller than the N64 if you didn't notice.
It's quite possibly the modder just inserted a cartridge reader and let the virtual console already on the Wii to emulate the game. That's the way I would have done it.
So that way, you wouldn't have to BUY THE GAMES YOU ALREADY HAVE.

No, seriously, I already have three N64s (one of which is being converted into a portable) and the wii is a bit balky anyway. I like the cartridges because they provide zero load time.

Eh, I like it. The Wii is a piece of crap anyway, the n64 was much better.
