Fizz Saver keeps your soda from going flat
As you probably know, once you open a bottle of soda, it's only a matter of time before it goes flat. And nobody likes flat soda. So what are you to do if you have a large bottle of soda and don't feel like giving yourself diabetes by drinking it too quickly? Just use the Fizz Saver.
The Fizz Saver is essentially a tap for soda. Simply screw it on the top of your bottle, flip it over, place it on a flat surface and you're good to go. Then you'll be able to pour yourself a glass of soda without releasing the carbonation, keeping it from going flat much longer than if you didn't have this magical contraption. The future is now!

Why is the Tropicana Lemonade in that Pic? Last time I checked it's not carbonated:P
By Hrunting at 5:31 PM ON 11/28/08

Actually Tropicana Lemonade does have carbonation in it. Not nearly as much as normal soda but still has some.

Price and availability?
I'd pay up to $20 for it, depending on build quality. I wonder how fouled up the nozzle will get after a few gallons of Mt. Dew chug through it.

Did the physics of liquids change, or do we not get to drink the bottom (top?) third of the bottle's contents with this device? It looks like a drain elbow with a faucet on it, which should keep the beverage from draining to only slightly below the faucet end. Unless you shake the carbonated beverage to create back pressure defeating the purpose of the device.

At Query: Since the bottle has a much larger circumference than the drain tube, wouldn't the weight of the liquid in the bottle force it through the drain tube until the liquid in the bottle and tube were balanced? I think that would put the final liquid level lower than 1/3 of the bottle.

If you look close, you'll see that the spicket is coming from the black base in a series of 90 degree bends. Therefore you will be able to dispense the entire bottle.
