Febot mini wind turbine charges up a battery right outside your window

febot_front.jpg

Check out this wind-powered battery charger. Febot is a design concept for charging up a single AA battery, where you attach its suction cup outside a window of your house or car, and the tiny generator uses the power of the wind to give you all-free energy as long as the wind blows.

We usually think of huge wind turbines cranking out the megawatts, but Febot taps into wind power on a comparatively micro scale. It's this kind of innovative thinking that will usher in the new age of completely renewable energy.

Uh you gotta be careful if you try to "google" fetbot. It turns out it is a website for "fetishes" looks x-rated. Sooooo.... maybe they should call it something else? Like Wind-Batt? Or Air-Batt?

Waste of plastic (=oil). I don't believe it produce fraction of energy used in it's production b'cause of flimsy construction, friction etc. But maybe better inspiring toy for toddler than gun.
