In preparation for the time when man has completely ravaged our delicate planet, Korea's Chonnam National University has developed a robotic plant. According to the plant's creators the plant can produce oxygen, moisture, and plant-like aromas. In addition to mimicking a real plant's natural functions, the robo-plant also responds to movement by humans or animals by bending towards the sound source and spreading its "bloom."
The plant also trembles gently when exposed to loud noises or high vocal tones and dances when music is played. No release date or specific application has been announced for the creepy flower but in the meantime we can only hope these robo-flowers won't also come equipped with Aeon Flux-like killer garden weaponry.

I like the plant and as for application in smog areas the extra o2 would work as a enviromental balance.
