Control the lights in your house using the iPhone

Lutron-iPhone-control.jpg
Lutron, the company that developed the dimmer switch in the '60s, now offers a lighting system that can be controlled by your iPhone or iPod Touch. That lamp you see above is screwed into one of Lutron's wireless modules and, with a simple app, you can control how bright you want it to be from across the room. As you can see, the app's clean interface allows you to seperate your house into zones so things don't get confusing.

Setting up your house lights to run off of wireless modules can cost several hundreds or thousands of dollars, though the app is free, and it will be available in January.

Wow, That's wonderful beginning. I hope I can use my iPhone to replace more remote devices, there are too many remote devices in a home already!

I work for Touch-Plate lighting Solutions (one of Lutron's main competitors, and we have started implimenting a similat app but it is not iPhone specific it works with most all smartphones

Is that possible ?
