The Anti-iPhone: Pomera DM10 electronic memo book keeps it simple

ptexngbk73.jpgSure your iPhone can wow friends and family with its variety of programs and futuristic touchscreen technology, but it still fails when it comes to one basic function—writing long documents. The new Pomera DM10 excels at this function, and only this function. Smaller and lighter than most laptops, the device fits into your pocket but features a full-function fold out keyboard when it’s time to sit down and pound out the next chapter of your sci-fi epic.

Business execs and super geeks won’t be impressed, but for writers of all stripes (until the OLO becomes a reality) this kind of simple and highly portable device is perfect. It’s set to hit stores in Japan on November 11, for 27,300 yen ($280) here.

So in other words this has absolutely NOTHING to do with the iphone.

the Pomera DM10 is not a phone, it doesn't have a touch screen, it can't send or recieve emails, it doesn't have a camera and the list goes on and on.

It really can't be the "anti-iphone" if it isn't even a phone. It's a freaking mini word processor.

DVICE will do anything to whore out apple products.

Yeah, not anti-iphone but I'm wondering how much memory that thing holds. Probably not that much considering you can only type up word documents on it.
