Stock ticker pumpkin actually is really, really scary
It's easy to scare kids, but when you're older it's hard to think of a Halloween gag that could actually give you chills. Well, it was. This pumpkin is making the scariest face imaginable this Halloween: one that displays daily updates from Wall Street. It's cheap enough and easy enough that you could still probably put one together in time for the big night.
Put together by the diabolical DIY wizards over at Evil Mad Scientist, it uses a smallish pumpkin and a cheap, 5 by 7, scrolling LED panel. The microcontroller and all of the wires are tucked behind it, though you could probably toss it inside if you used a larger pumpkin.

This might actually qualify as interesting - if the stock market wasn't closed during the only hours you'll be using it. And if there wasn't a 100% chance of some pos kid stealing it off of your porch if you left it out more than one night. Other than that, good waste of a bit of money lol.
