We're nuts about tiny electric cars, and this Nissan Nuvu concept car rolled out at the Paris Motor Show is the coolest one yet. The 9-foot minicar seats the driver up front, a passenger seat alongside, and room for a kid or groceries aft. Its green nature extends beyond its whisper-quiet electric motor; many of its raw materials are recycled or organic.
Nissan says the Nuvu is the company's vision of an electric car circa 2015, but can't we have something like this today? If Nuvu were to be built by the 2010 timeframe like the Chevy Volt, maybe Nissan would be brave enough not to dumb down its design like GM suits did with the Volt. Oh well, guess we'll just have to wait for that similar-looking Toyota iQ to go electric.

The Volt looks considerably better than the weird concept car. Only the Young & Brainless confuse
redesign with "dumb down." The Dumb and Dumber generation of mindless morons speaks nonsense once more. And by the way. A battery-only electric makes zero sense to you folks who don't live on a 40 mile diameter Pacific island, now does it? Ha,ha,ha,ha. Dumb and yet still Dumber. Ha, ha,ha,ha. Boy, are you people stupid. Only the internet accepts such crap.

What a stupid thing to say. At least GM has the guts to do something in a short timeframe. Also GM did explain they couldn't use the concept design due to drag coefficients to reach the 40 mile mark.

I like concepts cars - they offer an artistic interpretation of a transportation object. They also allow our imaginations to run wild of how it'll be in the not too distant future. Perhaps it's the 12 year old inside us that wants to set him/herself apart from anyone else rather than just another box on wheels for the masses. I agree that the Volt was dumbed down for the masses to be better accepted - too bad - wish they could have kept a little more of the child's imagination in there versus the 55 year old statistician... We don't need another Ford Taurus - bring on the new! Oh, and we really like the recycled element in this one!
