iPhone-controlled LEGO contraption pours a beer on command

This, my friends, is what you call nerd catnip: a homemade LEGO contraption that, when controlled by an iPhone, pours a beer automatically. Yes, it contains so many elements of geek culture that it's almost a parody of itself: DIY projects, LEGO, iPhones, and beer. But it's not quite a parody of itself, so I love it. What can I say, I'm easy to please.

Basically, it's set to pour every time it sees the word "pour" in a Pownce RSS feed, so as long as there's a full beer and an empty glass there it'll work as advertised. Sure, it's a gimmick, but it sure is a fun gimmick.

/Head
now the real challenge would be getting it to properly pour a beer.

The narration in the background is kind of disturbing. It's like listening to someone's Aunt in Iowa going on and on about how she finally learned to get to JoAnne's Fabrics and Target off the interstate and the cousin pounds away at the piano in the background!

That's great and all but it's not exactly complicated... Not to mention all the nerds/geeks that I know are disgusted with the iPhone.

The beer pouring aspect definitely needs work, but it's cool to see how the iphone can be used to control devices such as that.
