Here's a PC case mod that's worthy of the name Battlestar Galactica. This liquid-cooled work of art has a numerous video screens, a side window hidden by a servo-controlled door, and a slot-loading DVD drive that lets you see its disc spinning through its semi-transparent front.
We're especially impressed by the LED-lit landing strip on top, ready to accommodate a squadron of Mark VII vipers. It even looks like the case has taken a few hits from the nuclear weapons of the Cylons. Check out the gallery and you'll see all the spectacular details incorporated into the masterpiece by case modder Boddaker, and then hit Continue for a video of the case in action.

Haha, if it wasn't for the liquid cooling, this thing would overheat soooooo fast.
By Topgun at 9:58 AM ON 10/16/08
Fantastic job! I'd also love to see this on the market, I would buy it in a heartbeat. Just awesome, awesome work! Frakkin' great!
By Arron at 11:31 AM ON 10/16/08
I thought exposure to the CD/DVD laser was a vision hazard? Most of the optical drives I've seen have warning stickers all over them about laser radiation hazard?
While It looks really cool to see the disk loading and spinning, your also looking into possible eye damage arn't you?
The mod itself though is outstanding, I like the command com display cluster like the Galactica's bridge has...lol
By Solace001 at 2:42 PM ON 10/16/08
Never before now have I wanted a mod. My computer is not worthy of something so beautiful!
By Boddaker at 5:19 PM ON 10/16/08
Hello everyone, I am the creator of this case, and I thank you all for your awesome comments! It is truly an honor to have my work featured on the front page of the official Galactica website. It doesn't get any better than that!
@ Arron: The DVD laser only turns on when a disc is inserted, and then it is concealed behind the disc so you never see it. The red lighting effect that is visible is actually created by red LEDs hidden within the medallion.
@ Jim: I found the DRADIS screensavers on the GalacticaBBS website.
I really do appreciate all your interest, and if it hadn't taken me over a year to complete this one, I might have considered making additional cases for sale. Alas, this PC will continue to be one-of-a-kind. :-)
I would be happy to answer any more questions you may have about the case, just contact me through my website. Cheers!

Hey Boddaker!! I watched you build this rig over at bestcasescenario. I'm glad to see you're getting the recognition you deserve for all the time you spent from concept to completion. Congrats!! It's truely a beautifil machine and a freakin' masterpiece!! It's a shame that you only took 3rd at NVision 08. That is definitely a 1st place rig.
By foth at 7:13 PM ON 10/16/08
How about some Babylon 5 versions - Earthforce, Minbari, Narn, Centuri, Vorlon or Shadow tech............
By rabi1812 at 7:56 PM ON 10/16/08
HOW CAN I GET ONE AND HOW MUCH???
By permster at 10:09 PM ON 10/16/08
Couldn't you buy some large bsg models and cut off the pieces and mold them to the case? Sure would save some time instead of molding them from hand.
By stgoebel at 10:14 PM ON 10/16/08
Oh my head!! You need to do a cylon model with the roving red light!!! Freaky!
By dancjr2 at 12:27 AM ON 10/17/08

WOW!!! Boddaker You ROCK!!! Never thought much of mods.... until now :) This is the finest piece I have seen. I hope you are able to get hooked up with a distributor.
By Hamhouke at 12:00 PM ON 11/05/08
Well done, Sir! I have done a case mod or two in my day, but this really exceeds anything that we were doing in the golden age of case mod competitions (2000ish). You have really taken the art to a new level.
So say we all!
By Bojangle at 12:12 AM ON 11/06/08
That is so cool, should make a viper mouse that charges in the hanger. Cylon version would also be cool. Hail to the great nerd who built the BSGPC75.

By cylonphoenix at 7:35 PM ON 11/14/08
This is one sexy piece of work! Well done. I am beyond impressed.
@notavirgin....grow up! Not everyone in this world is a sex obsessed degenerate like yourself. I'm sure Boddaker has no issues with "physical relations" after peeps get a eyefull of this magnificent bit of loveliness!!!
By HiMY SYeD at 11:31 AM ON 11/29/08
Every so often, rarer and rarer it seems, one is surfing the web without much thought or pause. Then suddenly something like this work of art appears on screen, and you just hold your breath and go WOW out loud.
Wow.
By Ambrosia at 4:03 PM ON 12/20/08
Are you kidding me with this?! What the frak are you thinking? This is exactly how the cylons got started! For shame.
By Wikadoo at 10:04 PM ON 01/01/09
I ran across this from a link on the Wikki-un-frakking-believable!!! Really an amazing work of art, creative and beautiful and functional! Keep up the truly fantastic work!!

Whew...It's much beyond my imagination. Do you plan to have mass production? For the beginning, I suggest you produce only on order based and the same time, you research about market response.
