Unmanned aerial vehicles just got another superpower — now they can see through walls. Those Predator drones were scary enough with hellfire missiles on board, but they get an extra punch when they can place a figurative red dot on the foreheads of evildoers inside 12-inch-thick concrete bunkers.
About the size of a car battery, the superman see-through apparatus, called STTW (sense through the wall) can be deployed on manned and unmanned vehicles. Sounds like a great military idea, but we're just wondering how long it's going to take for these prying eyes to be installed in police cars. Don't gaze me, bro!

I'm very curious to learn the technology behind this feature.

We say "aw, cool!" now, but we'll be wishing we had a time machine when the inevitable police state arrives.

Save your Chickenshit Little stuff if you are a U.S. citizen (since that's the military tech you're so afraid of)... a police state will never happen as long as the Second Amendment exists, and even after, it's not like the armed citizenry is going to suddenly give up their tools to ensure their human right to self-defense and to overthrow a truly fascist government.

Thanks The USA,people who loves the freedom we doesn´t have the communist star "engraving on our fronts".Mr.Putin and "Cnies".,and their old ideologies still exist.

Is that so? 2nd amendment, eh? Glad you're willing to take on the might of the American military all on your own with that hunting rifle you've got in the basement. Oh wait-- shit. You're resistance will crumble against the technology of the American Empire.
By JR at 9:52 PM ON 09/20/08
You assume the majority of the American military will commit treason to enforce a police state. I don't.

As a former vet, every member of the armed forces(USN,USA,USAF,USMC,USCG,USBP)is sworn to uphold the constitution of the USA.
And every member is a citizen just like you and me.
So you would have to get several million people to forget their oath of service.

Watch the news, we are fast on the path to fascist police state. Every step down this path is made in the name of security. The great mass of citizens will not realize our situation until it is too late. The government will not take away everyone's civil liberties all at once. As always, they will come first for the "terrorist" and trouble makers, and then the definitions of those groups will expand. The armed forces oath to protect the constitution will be irrelevant. The military is overseas defending the empire. Private contractors will enforce the police state. Technology makes it easier for a few people control the masses.

Private contractors are ALREADY enforcing the police state - the City of New Orleans hired Blackwater to go around to those notorious troublemakers, homeowners around St. Charles Boulevard, and confiscate guns which they were stupid enough to register. Meanwhile, New Orleans city-approved thugs were paddling up and down the streets at night with Ray Nagin's apparent good wishes burning the homes whose owners had just been disarmed by Nagin's rent-a-goon squads.
When we get a police state in America, it'll be with the approval and at the insistence of the people who bitch about police states most often. The Left gave us Waco, Ruby Ridge, the Disarming of the Law-Abiding in New Orleans after Katrina (so Ray Nagin could have his "Chocolate City" complete with city-approved terror by night)... and guess whose supporters like to pee their pants over police states?

"to uphold the Constitution of the USA..." Not the President. Not the "government". The Constitution. Yeah, they follow orders, but they are also obligated to consult thier own morals and ethics. There is no way that every American soldier, ordered to institute a police state, would follow through UNLESS the American people wanted it.
