Nokia N810 trick: Honey, I shrunk the mixing console

attachment-thumb-520x390.jpg

Back in the old days, a 16-track mixing board took up the space of a ping pong table, but not anymore. The 20 faders of this Yamaha digital mixer fit handily onto the screen of this Nokia N810 Internet tablet, with no scrolling required. There's a guy on the Internet Tablet Talk forum who says it's actually useful.

Mr. Engineer, if you indeed want to tweak those balcony speakers from your N810, you'd better have some tiny fingers. The micro-interface shows up on the touchscreen thanks to VNC Client, an application that reproduces a desktop on this handheld, translating touches as mouse actions. Maybe we could do this with an iPhone, so we could covertly control our swarm of Mini Tankbots.
