Marbelous furniture: lose your marbles at the dinner table

Marbelous-Tineke-Beunders-.jpg
The line between the grown up and kiddie tables blur with Netherlands-based designer Tineke Beunders' Marbelous. It has grooves cut into the tabletop, legs and supports that'll have marbles rolling all the way down to the floor. The best part? You could also sneak your vegetables: olives, sprouts, peas — just toss them into the trenches at the sides and pray the dog is nearby.

Despite how it looks, you won't have to chase after your lost marbles, either. Carved into the feet of the table are cups that'll catch most of them, and there's a long trough down the center, as well as a box to store the marbles. Check out the gallery below for more Marbelous furniture.

Oh sure, it's great fun and laughs until someone slips on all those marbles and cracks their skull. Yeah, great fun. Besides, those look more like 30-weight ball bearings to me... what? Awww, come on guys, it's so simple. Maybe you need a refresher course. It's all ball bearings nowadays!
