Large Hadron Collider Quiz

lhc_quiz3.jpg

The Large Hadron Collider didn't kill us all (yet, as far as we can tell), so now we can relax. In fact, we've already been enhanced by the $20 billion machine, because exposure to all this science-y info turned most of us into armchair physicists!

So now it's time to take stock in your new-fangled genius. Let's see how you do in this challenging quiz, where you get a chance to prove to us that you're the next Einstein, perhaps even ready to show the world your Theory of Everything. But if you don't do well, no need to fret — after all, that Theory of Everything is just a theory!

Fun Quiz, 7 out of 9 here. Should have gotten 8 of 9 according to the last periodical I read, but not bad!

I was only 99 hours, 59 and 999,999,999 billionths of a trillianth of a second away from scoring a perfect 9.

The last question presumes a black hole is created and lasts long enough to actually absorb another particle. If you understood that a black hole of that size would evaporate immediately, then the right answer was sort of a moot point anyway, since it can't really absorb a proton.

The reason why I knew it was because of the Torchwood Radio Play: Lost Souls, that Jack Harkness sure knows his physics. And Ianto-ahh!
