Camera made out of 150-year-old skull takes great pics of scared people

3rdeye_quarter.thumbnail.jpgIf you're going to make a pinhole camera for taking pictures with, there are probably more practical cases for it than a 150-year-old human skull. But then again, it's tough to find a more unique camera than the Third Eye, which is indeed made out of an old skull.

It's a sculpture, technically, so it's not like you'll be seeing skull cameras popping up at Best Buy anytime soon, but it is a functioning camera. The skull formerly belonged to a 13-year-old girl, who now has a camera placed on her forehead. I'm sure the photo quality isn't all that great, but hey, you'll always be sure to capture some freaked out expressions on your subjects faces. And that's gotta count for something.

The Ossuary as Seldec would be a great place to take this camera.

this is totally disrespectful. am i also to assume that whoever owns this camera also urinated on this young girl's grave?

Not really disrespectful; no more so than displaying a skeleton ever is, anyway. I'd actually be quite honored (if of course you could ever possibly care or be affected by what happens to your useless husk after you're dead) if someone made a piece of art out of my head.

The really disrespectful thing is putting a shitty camera in it. When you're using someone's remains for art you outta at least accept spending some money on it. :D

Totally disgusting! I'll make sure to find out who the creator is and when his mother dies I'll use her skin as a throw cover for my sofa. Bet he would love that. Sicko :(

Can I add this to my donor card?
