Back to the Future: Luminodot updates time tested 3D pixel art tablet

LUMI873.jpg

The original Lite-Brite, introduced way back in 1967, has been one-upped by a successor to the three-dimensional pixel image creation throne called Luminodot. What the Luminodot brings to the table is a denser 3500 light pixel grid for obsessive compulsives to while away hours creating highly detailed images that the Lite-Brite could never handle (see demonstration video here).

In addition the higher pixel count, the Luminodot offers 25 animated light patterns that can, if you've strategically placed your pixels, make for some rather interesting animated sequences. If the tedium of hard-mixing 3D pixels brightens you up, then you can find the Luminodot for just 10,035 yen ($94) here.

CORRECTION: The article originally referred to the product in this article as the Lumidot. We corrected the references to the actual name, Luminodot, after a commenter pointed out the error. Thanks, Jac!

It's Luminodot, not Lumidot as you refer in the article.
