Apple discontinues 160GB iPod Classic, new model holds only 120GB… WTF?
What just happened? Apple's iPod Classic — the one that looks the most like the original — used to come in two sizes: 80GB and 160GB. Today Apple upgraded the smaller model to 120GB ($249) but discontinued the larger one? Huh?
Have we reached the upper limit of how much space someone's music collection can possibly take up? That's doubtful, and in any case, we could use more room for storing our songs in lossless format, thanks very much. Why no 240GB version, Apple? Then you'd still be the big dog, and we'd still be on our way to a 1TB iPod. Stop trampling on my dreams!

If I remember right, this is the first time since the introduction of the iPod that there has been only one size available. I'd bet you that your 200+ GB, is just a little slow coming down the pipeline, and that we'll see it in a month or two.

My combined Itunes Music/Video/Podcasts collection is close to 290GB. So this announcement is disappointing. I currently have 5G 80GB IPod and like that I can sync a few seasons of Stargate on it with all my music.

I'm extremely pissed about this and if I could get my hands on Steve Jobs and the other jerk offs at apple that had any thing to do with the discontinuing of the 160 GB I would kick their f*!king heads in. The 160 GB wasn't big enough for my library and I was waiting for a bigger version to come and now were supposed to be satisfied with the 120 GB (after formatting probable 105 GB) I'm only pissed because my 160GB took a shit and now I'm going to get stuck with the a smaller iPod. GOD I would like to take a bat to Steve Jobs Head!
