A wave of vinyl records, crashing down on you

sound-wave-jean-shin.jpgThis awesome sculpture was created by Korean artist Jean Shin. Dubbed the "Sound Wave," it's made from a large number of melted vinyl records. It was created to show "the inevitable waves of technology that render each successive generation of recordable media obsolete."

It's an interesting message and all, but damn if it isn't cool looking. I'd say I want it for my apartment, but it might be a bit too large and unwieldy. In any case, if you want to check it out in person, it's a part of The Museum of Art and Design’s exhibit "Second Lives: Remixing the Ordinary."
