Word Clock screen saver turns time into typographical art
Feeding our fascination for typography and clocks at the same time is Word Clock by Simon Heys, a screen saver that shows you the time of day in your favorite typeface. Take your pick of rotary or linear mode, and choose your language, too, and the timepiece spells it all out for you in grand style.
It’s a free download for Windows, for Mac OS X or iPhone, or you can just admire the clock’s coolness on Simon’s website. Don’t start thinking it’s going to be saving any screens, though — if you’re using this on a plasma or CRT display, the Word Clock’s image might stick around for a while.
