The Shooter is a conceptual fire extinguisher thought up by designers Eunjung Kim, Yangwoo Kim and Junyi Heo. It makes putting out a fire as easy as aiming and pulling the trigger, which will send a cannon round full of CO² at the blaze. If that doesn't put it out, just keep firing — you've got eight shells in there. The idea is that it's far easier to use than your average fire extinguisher, it's able to be reloaded and keeps you away from the blaze. It's got a laser sight (which probably won't help out too much in the event of a large fire), as well as an alarm to warn everyone around you.
If you don't know how to use a conventional fire extinguisher, you may want to brush up on how.

Very Cool, I would start a fire just to use it. If you think this is a good or bad idea vote here: http://www.ratemyideas.com/story.php?title=Shooter_Fire_Extinguisher

This would be great if my couch or something was on fire, but I can imagine shooting at a pan of flaming grease where the bullet knocks it off the stove and makes the problem much worse. I know, I know, you aim for above the stove, but someone in a panic will just point and shoot.
I think the argument they make against conventional extinguishers is fundamentally flawed: They come in all sizes, including ones that are small and light, and they're far from complicated.
Besides, who's going to fiddle with a range setting when their house is on fire?

The worst problem with conventional extinguishers is finding it empty when you need it most. So, I think having multiple cartridges is a great idea. Actually, this would be a great tool for firefighters. And though I know this is far from the original intent of the design, it would probably make a great delivery system for pepper spray or tear gas.
Just one last nagging question: How are the capsules propelled out of the barrel?

These are really cute fire extinguishers and would look great at anyone''s home. I would definitely want to have some of them at my home. They would be a great decorative piece as well as useful in case of emergency fires!
