Logitech V550 Nano mouse stays close to your laptop — real close

I don’t know about you, but I’m not a big fan of my laptop’s touchpad. When I can, I always opt for a real mouse, but that’s obviously not so convenient when I’m wandering the streets, looking for things to blog about. The Logitech V550 Nano mouse could change all that, however. Its plan: Provide a Clip-and-Go dock that sticks to a notebook’s casing, letting you clip the cordless mouse to the outside shell before taking it with you. Simple and effective, no?

Maybe, maybe not. I’d raise just one red flag: in my experience, many laptop carrying bags can be pretty tight. Unless you’re carrying your laptop sans protection (and if you are, what the hell are you doing?), be sure your notebook will still fit in your bag with the mouse attached.

Transport issues aside, though, the well-intentioned mouse has other conveniences, like Logitech’s rapid-scroll wheel and an 18-month battery life, not to mention a tiny wireless receiver that won’t stick out from your laptop’s USB port. The V550 is available this month for $60.

MOGO PCMCIA bluetooth mouse.

Cooler, smaller and will give you carpal tunnel faster. What more can you ask for?

A good stab at a solution, however MoGo already makes a mouse that stores/charges in the express card or pcmcia slot of your laptop. It connects via bluetooth and they sell a compribably small adaptor for laptops without internal bluetooth. Only slightly more expensive (about 70) but a WAY better solution and no carrying bag storage issues.

A good stab at not being redundant.

FAIL.
