Barbie Meets Star Trek: SmartBerry offers mobile tool for kids
If you thought mere instant messaging would be enough to slake the digital thirst of children in this age of emerging tech you haven't been paying attention. Apparently, even children must now be equipped with multi-function smart devices and Bandai intends to the company to fulfill the demand with the overly cute handset called the SmartBerry.
The pink-obsessed device offers functions such as a virtual business card (because a 9 year-old needs to appear professional!), touch screen and keypad interface, game play and instant messaging. Selling for 10,290 yen ($94) there is no better way for new parents to get their children started on the Paris Hilton path early.
