axxenplyr432.jpgSo you say your iPod went up in flames due to Apple’s recent janky batteries woes? Have no fear, all iPod refusniks can find a little salvation in two new multi-media player called the Pleigo from Korean manufacturer Axxen. With a cool black exterior and slick rounded edges, the players offer MP3 digital audio playback, touch keypad, mpeg and avi video playback on a well-designed 1.5 (Pleigo X11) or 2-inch (Pleigo X12) OLED display, an ebook reader, and an FM radio that allows you to record broadcasts.

Axxen doesn't provide a glorious app store or the cure for all known diseases like certain other devices, but in terms of cool PMP aluminum design in your pocket the Pleigo (pricing has yet to be announced) is sure to attract curious glances from fellow gadget fiends.

-Small OLED screen
-Front-sunken interior
-Static touch controls
-FM radio and recorder.
