1500-LED scrolling clock tells you the time in three languages

led_clocks.jpg

If its 1500 scrolling LEDs don’t give you a clue about what time of day it is, this timepiece by Dutch designer Peter van der Jagt will bark out the time in three languages. Want to learn how to tell time in Dutch or Japanese? This sucker can drill that into your head 24/7. Or, just have it talk to you in plain English.

Let’s hope it speaks in the relaxed tones of a Garmin GPS device or HAL 9000, and not like those cheap answering machines from the late ’80s. Available with a white or black background, the $245 clock appears to be aimed at Europe with its 220V adapter, but we’re hoping they bring it to America post haste.
