Tile + Light makes LED-embedded tiles easier to install and modify
tile_lights_front.jpg

The idea of LED-embedded bathroom tiles has useful written all over it. But unless you’re completely remodeling, they’re going to give you some installation challenges. This Tile + Light concept created by Korean designer Hyomi Kim makes it easier, with snap-together tiles in four different shapes, letting you change the design of the lit-up tile show at your whim.

To hook them up, you just connect one of the tiles to low voltage, and it conducts that current to all the others in its secretive way. Then you can arrange the shapes into whatever pattern amuses you at the time. Could this be part of the bathroom of the future? Looks like a great idea, but Mr. Kim, make it completely waterproof so it'll work inside a shower or in a pool.

i wants them.

Great...
Use OLED tech to make the light flush with the tile, and it will look very nice.

It said in the article that it uses LED not light bulb as illustrated in the Structure diagram.

This looks so beautiful... Maybe my kids will have a bathroom decorated like this.

Im really interested in this, but why doesn't www.dvice.com give us a link to pursue or find out how we can get a hold of the tiles, or at least find out more about them.

@Steve: It's there - the link to follow is below the gallery. Here it is again:
