Now you’ll be able to rest easy in that skyscraper with The Wizard, a design concept for an emergency escape system that lowers you safely to earth if all hell breaks loose. Strap on its all-encompassing belt system, firmly attach its lifeline-containing drum to something sturdy enough to support your weight, and Geronimo! You’re gently gliding toward the ground, with a soft landing your reward when you reach terra firma.
Since this nicely-designed drum only holds 250m of its special Kevlar lanyard, this won’t be much use if you’re living on the $40 million 150th-floor penthouse of the Chicago Spire, but it’ll be long enough to save you in most Gotham City high-rises. We’re thinking you’d better have the attach point of this life-saving device planned out beforehand. Too bad it can’t hoist you up the side of a building like Batman’s paraphernalia. Well, there’s always version 2.0.

I would like to see this Wizard in action in a video.
