The Foldoub caravan folds out into your home away from home
This collapsing Foldoub caravan concept by Dutch designer Niels Caris gives you a lot more space with a lot less to tow. While the frame of the camper is made of lightweight, flexible materials, it all folds into a hard shell for transport, so you don't have to worry about it getting scufffed up on the road. Just drive up to a campsite and enjoy a spacious room to hang out in — if only it had unfolding furniture, too!

One gust of wind and that shiny red laqueur finish will be a scratched up mutilation of a tall box. Time to get a mess of stickers to cover that up!

Ever heard of the "Camp-Let"? Obviously where he got the idea. Very old concept that you can actually buy (in a slightly different form).

So your car also is covered in scratches after one gust of wind? If you read the story on the website you'll learn that it's got a normal trackwidth and it's low center of gravity won't let it tip over that easily.

Not at all clear here as to how one gets from step 3 to step 4. Where are the side walls of the foldoub, with the large windows, coming from?
Niels Caris is an industrial designer so I think it's an interesting concept but when a design engineer starts throwing calcs at that, I don't think it will stand up to the test (quite literally). As for marketing, I think they will struggle... where is the storage. Currently, it will fold out to be an empty shell.
