SK Telecom offers phones that repel mosquitoes
Nobody likes mosquitoes. Sure, you can use bug spray to try to keep them away, but then you'll be covered with a greasy, chemical film that smells so bad that it'll repel as many people as bugs. What's one to do besides hide indoors?
Well, South Korean phone operator SK Telecom has a solution: phones that repel mosquitoes. Not by a spray, mind you; by a sound. For $2.50, people on SK Telecom can play a high-pitched sound that supposedly scares the bloodsucking bugs away. Does it work? Who knows, but for $2.50 per play I'd sure hope so. But of course, it won't be too long before someone just gets the sound file and puts it on the internet, making this overpriced repellant a much more reasonable option.
